The Summer course is an intensive programme, ideal for those aiming to spend their summer both learning Dutch as well as enjoying Amsterdam. This three-week, full-time course has 16 contact hours per week, plus an estimated 16 hours of homework per week. This course is available on six different levels, from Absolute Beginner (CEFR 0) to Advanced (CEFR B2).
The Summer course is jointly organised by the INTT of the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and the Amsterdam-Maastricht Summer University (AMSU). The INTT deals exclusively with applications from UvA-students; the AMSU deals with all other applications. We offer a similar three-week programme in January: the Winter Course, which is aimed at absolute Beginners (CEFR A1) and Beginners (CEFR A2).
This course is offered at the following levels: Absolute beginners - Advanced (CEFR level: 0-B2).
Target group: UvA students and other higher educated foreign language speakers

Language of instruction: Absolute beginners level: Dutch and English / Other levels: Dutch
Hours per week: Four 4-hour classes and between 12-16 hours of self-study.
Course duration: 3 weeks
Period: 3-21 August 2020
This course is jointly organised by the INTT and the Amsterdam-Maastricht Summer University (AMSU). Participants paying the non-reduced course fee may apply online via www.amsu.edu. These participants are entitled to use the facilities of the AMSU. The AMSU's conditions apply to these applications.
